Directions for everyone!

So, getting to Baddeck isn't very difficult...from anywhere. You'll see, actually, that many of these directions seem remarkably similar, regardless of where you are coming from!

As for within Baddeck, the Church is on Chebucto Street. We're pretty sure that if you're on a street in Baddeck, we're 90% sure it's Chebucto. It is the "main drag" and pretty much the only street in Baddeck that any non-local would drive on. It is the connecting road into Baddeck whether or not you use Exit 8 or Exit 9. All roads lead to Rome, so to speak.

Directions from the Halifax Airport

Take Highway 102 N towards Truro, NS.

Take Exit 15E (Trans Canada Highway 104 E) towards CAPE BRETON

Stay on the Trans Canada Highway all the way onto the island. Once on the island you will take EXIT 9 towards BADDECK

Turn RIGHT on MARGAREE RD.

MARGAREE RD. becomes OLD MARGAREE RD. which becomes CHEBUCTO STREET.

Yup, it's that simple.

Total time (says mapquest): 3.5 hours driving

Directions from the Sydney Airport (on Cape Breton Island)

Go WEST on SILVER DART WAY

Turn RIGHT on OLD AIRPORT ROAD

Turn LEFT onto SYDNEY ROAD/PROVINCIAL SECONDARY ROUTE 4
Turn LEFT onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 125 S

MERGE onto PROVINCIAL ROUTE 105/TRANS CANADA HIGHWAY (EXIT 1W)

EXIT 9 towards BADDECK

Turn RIGHT on MARGAREE RD.

MARGAREE RD. becomes OLD MARGAREE RD. which becomes CHEBUCTO STREET.

Total time (says mapquest): 1 hour, 8 minutes

Directions from Fredericton, NB

Take HIGHWAY 7 towards MONCTON. CONTINUE until you travel into NOVA SCOTIA
This becomes PROVINCIAL ROUTE 104E/TRANS CANADA HIGHWAY

There are portions of this highway which require a toll. I can't remember/find how much it was, but it was minimal.

STAY ON THIS HIGHWAY THROUGH NS, TOWARDS CAPE BRETON, ONTO THE ISLAND TO EXIT 9 TOWARDS BADDECK
MARGAREE RD. becomes OLD MARGAREE RD. which becomes CHEBUCTO STREET.

Total time (says mapquest): 6 hours 8 minutes, but we have never taken that long when we travel there!!
