Lynwood Inn

We went back to Baddeck for Labour Day weekend and stayed in two different hotels while we were there.

We stayed at the Lynwood in one of their traditional rooms - the price was $120/night. What a pretty hotel! It is situated less than five minutes away from the Inverary resort, and has a great combination of lovely design, yet modern amenities. It is a new building, however, it has been built to match the longstanding Lynwood House, which was orginally a General Store. The place was converted to a hotel, but then expanded to a new building with all the things you want in a hotel - nice bathrooms, flat screen tvs, air conditioning (la-di-dah, I tell you!)
Also, the hotel has suites which have a balcony, and a few cottages at the back of the property. I am not sure what the rates are for those rooms for next season, but they will probably be updated at their websidte: http://www.lynwoodinn.com/ later in the Fall. We do not have rooms blocked at this hotel, and I know it fills quickly because it is such a good deal, so book early if it strikes your fancy!

It also has a gorgeous resteraunt on site where we had two great meals. Lobster was in season, so can imagine what I ate! (We would also highly suggest the Oat Cakes. They are amaaaazingly delicious!)
This place gets a definite two thumbs up. If you're looking for something with modern amenities, this is a good find. It had two double beds, so it can sleep a small crowd, but was also quiet, clean and well stocked.

The only thing we have been finding (with every place we've stayed, strangely) is that these places don't supply those little travel size shampoo and conditioner. Thank heavenes we found a Pharmasave around the corner!
Happy planning!
xoxo K&M
