Green Highlander Lodge

If you ask my cousin Sarah where the best place to eat in Baddeck is, she'll tell you it's the Yellow Cello. Sarah and her husband Brandon are crazy for the place. I've never tried it myself, but Sarah is a good judge of character with excellent tase, and I'll stand by her recommendation any day.

The Yellow Cello is located in downtown Baddeck and is the resteraunt connected with another lodging venue in town called The Green Highlander Lodge. They too have a website at:

http://greenhighlanderlodge.com/

It consists of three suites around a Great Room and is located in the heart of Baddeck. Baddeck isn't a really big place (although there is SO MUCH to do!) and it would be a less than fifteen minute walk from the Inverary to the hotel. So if you're looking for something a little different, but still close to all the action, this might be for you.

The Green Highlander Lodge is themed around fly fishing. If this has ever appealed to you, it might be a great fit, because it also offers "Eco Adventures", including fly fishing and fishing for Atlantic Salmon. If you've ever considered trying it, these guided tours bring you to fishing haunts around Cape Breton.

As always, we can't impress upon you enough that Labour Day weekend is often busy, so the sooner you secure your lodging the better. But this little gem gets the K&M seal of approval.

Happy planning!

xoxo K&M
